According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2009 Q1 was $882. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,464), followed by New York ($1,207), and Connecticut ($1,191).

On the other hand, Montana had the lowest average weekly wage ($628), followed by South Dakota ($630), and Mississippi ($633).
