According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2023, Illinois added the highest number of jobs to the private heavy and civil engineering construction industry (4,800), followed by California (4,463), and Pennsylvania (4,261).

On the other hand, Florida added the least number of jobs (-1,216), followed by Texas (-886), and Georgia (-525).
