According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March, 2023, Illinois added the highest number of jobs to the private heavy and civil engineering construction industry (2,419), followed by Pennsylvania (2,148), and Ohio (1,782).

On the other hand, California added the least number of jobs (-3,525), followed by Georgia (-172), and Alabama (-113).
