Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,234,325 and represented 10.44% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.26M), followed by St. Clair (80.41K), and Will (71.30K).

In terms of percentages, Alexander had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (35.12%), followed by Pulaski (33.39%), and St. Clair (30.39%).
