Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,315,935 and represented 11.00% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.18M), followed by Will (77.39K), and St. Clair (74.76K).

In terms of percentages, Alexander had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (33.46%), followed by Pulaski (30.01%), and St. Clair (29.33%).
