Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2023, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,311,185 and represented 11.08% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.13M), followed by Will (78.85K), and St. Clair (70.90K).

In terms of percentages, Pulaski had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (32.35%), followed by Alexander (31.85%), and St. Clair (28.22%).
