Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2020, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,290,900 and represented 10.88% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.17M), followed by St. Clair (77.17K), and Will (75.19K).

In terms of percentages, Alexander had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (35.03%), followed by Pulaski (30.64%), and St. Clair (29.99%).
