Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2022, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,317,960 and represented 11.06% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.16M), followed by Will (77.72K), and St. Clair (72.26K).

In terms of percentages, Alexander had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (33.27%), followed by Pulaski (31.34%), and St. Clair (28.51%).
