Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,245,335 and represented 10.50% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.25M), followed by St. Clair (80.85K), and Will (71.49K).

In terms of percentages, Alexander had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (34.59%), followed by Pulaski (33.75%), and St. Clair (30.45%).
