Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the citizen voting-age population for Alabama was 3,544,660 and represented 74.20% of the total Alabama population.

Among all Alabama counties, Jefferson had the highest citizen voting-age population (486.20K), followed by Mobile (301.39K), and Madison (246.60K).

In terms of percentages, Macon had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (79.64%), followed by Cherokee (79.12%), and Coosa (78.37%).
