Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2015, the citizen voting-age population for Maine was 1,048,275 and represented 78.87% of the total Maine population.

Among all Maine counties, Cumberland had the highest citizen voting-age population (222.29K), followed by York (157.28K), and Penobscot (122.38K).

In terms of percentages, Piscataquis had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (81.23%), followed by Lincoln (81.16%), and Hancock (80.85%).
