Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,271,600 and represented 10.66% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.22M), followed by St. Clair (78.94K), and Will (74.00K).

In terms of percentages, Alexander had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (33.97%), followed by Pulaski (31.51%), and St. Clair (30.07%).
