Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen voting-age population for Alabama was 3,639,495 and represented 75.18% of the total Alabama population.

Among all Alabama counties, Jefferson had the highest citizen voting-age population (491.02K), followed by Mobile (308.98K), and Madison (261.51K).

In terms of percentages, Macon had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (81.46%), followed by Coosa (80.58%), and Cherokee (79.19%).
