Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,276,885 and represented 10.69% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.21M), followed by St. Clair (78.64K), and Will (74.61K).

In terms of percentages, Alexander had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (34.72%), followed by Pulaski (30.86%), and St. Clair (30.13%).
