Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the citizen voting-age population for Illinois was 9,043,520 and represented 70.35% of the total Illinois population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest citizen voting-age population (3.54M), followed by DuPage (646.72K), and Will (472.79K).

In terms of percentages, Pope had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (83.72%), followed by Brown (82.99%), and Hardin (82.57%).
