Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the citizen voting-age population for Maine was 1,055,130 and represented 79.32% of the total Maine population.

Among all Maine counties, Cumberland had the highest citizen voting-age population (226.82K), followed by York (159.82K), and Penobscot (121.93K).

In terms of percentages, Lincoln had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (81.94%), followed by Piscataquis (81.75%), and Franklin (80.93%).
