Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,281,810 and represented 10.75% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.20M), followed by St. Clair (78.96K), and Will (74.89K).

In terms of percentages, Alexander had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (33.51%), followed by St. Clair (30.43%), and Pulaski (30.31%).
