According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2014, the death rate for California was 6.35. Sierra County had the highest death rate (13.65), followed by Lake County (12.95), and Tuolumne County (12.6). On the other hand, Mono County had the lowest death rate (3.62), followed by Santa Clara County (5.02), and San Benito County (5.43).
