According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2022, the net domestic migration for Virginia was -25,629. Chesterfield County had the highest net domestic migration (5,424) followed by Spotsylvania County (2,133), and Suffolk city (1,845). On the other hand, Fairfax County had the lowest net domestic migration (-21,751), followed by Virginia Beach city (-6,052), and Prince William County (-5,770).
