According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2022, the net domestic migration for Virginia was -24,930. Chesterfield County had the highest net domestic migration (5,446) followed by Spotsylvania County (2,145), and Suffolk city (1,857). On the other hand, Fairfax County had the lowest net domestic migration (-21,564), followed by Virginia Beach city (-6,028), and Prince William County (-5,710).
