According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the net domestic migration for Virginia was -6,985. Chesterfield County had the highest net domestic migration (3,635) followed by Spotsylvania County (2,102), and Suffolk city (2,013). On the other hand, Fairfax County had the lowest net domestic migration (-13,405), followed by Virginia Beach city (-4,026), and Prince William County (-3,991).
