According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the net domestic migration for West Virginia was 1,665. Monongalia County had the highest net domestic migration (1,198) followed by Berkeley County (522), and Jefferson County (393). On the other hand, Kanawha County had the lowest net domestic migration (-463), followed by McDowell County (-262), and Mingo County (-221).
