According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Montana was 19.23. Mineral County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (72.77), followed by Broadwater County (68.11), and Lincoln County (51.34). On the other hand, Rosebud County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-23.42), followed by Richland County (-19.94), and Liberty County (-13.89).
