According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2003:

  1. Ohio: 7,200
  2. Pennsylvania: 4,300
  3. Minnesota: 4,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Retail Trade industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2003:

  1. California: -5,400
  2. Florida: -4,300
  3. Georgia: -1,100
