Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2013, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Illinois was 1,251,565 and represented 10.52% of the total Illinois citizen population.

Among all Illinois counties, Cook had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (1.24M), followed by St. Clair (80.42K), and Will (72.18K).

In terms of percentages, Alexander had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (35.35%), followed by Pulaski (33.39%), and St. Clair (30.26%).
