Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the citizen voting-age population for Alabama was 3,651,915 and represented 75.29% of the total Alabama population.

Among all Alabama counties, Jefferson had the highest citizen voting-age population (491.02K), followed by Mobile (309.96K), and Madison (265.02K).

In terms of percentages, Coosa had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (82.06%), followed by Macon (81.41%), and Cherokee (79.75%).
