According to the US Census Bureau Vintage data estimates, in 2016, the birth rate for Louisiana was 13.8. Vernon Parish had the highest birth rate (20.66), followed by St. Landry Parish (16.84), and Tangipahoa Parish (15.84) On the other hand, West Feliciana Parish had the lowest birth rate (7.17), followed by Jackson Parish (9.79), and East Feliciana Parish (10.09).
