The US Census Bureau estimated that the Black or African American Alone population in Pennsylvania was 1,465,248 in 2012, and represented 11.48% of Pennsylvania's 12,769,123 population in 2012. Philadelphia County had the highest number of the Black or African American Alone population (693,080 residents), followed by Allegheny County with 164,122 residents, and Delaware County with 115,826 residents. Cameron County had the smallest number of the Black or African American Alone population (19 residents) in 2012.
