The US Census Bureau estimated that the Black or African American Alone population in Pennsylvania was 1,509,248 in 2016, and represented 11.80% of Pennsylvania's 12,788,468 population in 2016. Philadelphia County had the highest number of the Black or African American Alone population (698,119 residents), followed by Allegheny County with 164,568 residents, and Delaware County with 122,316 residents. Cameron County had the smallest number of the Black or African American Alone population (33 residents) in 2016.
