The US Census Bureau estimated that the Black or African American Alone population in Pennsylvania was 1,551,913 in 2020, and represented 12.14% of Pennsylvania's 12,783,254 population in 2020. Philadelphia County had the highest number of the Black or African American Alone population (686,918 residents), followed by Allegheny County with 163,023 residents, and Delaware County with 131,161 residents. Cameron County had the smallest number of the Black or African American Alone population (31 residents) in 2020.
