The US Census Bureau estimated that the Black or African American Alone population in Pennsylvania was 1,545,082 in 2019, and represented 12.07% of Pennsylvania's 12,798,883 population in 2019. Philadelphia County had the highest number of the Black or African American Alone population (692,815 residents), followed by Allegheny County with 163,366 residents, and Delaware County with 129,054 residents. Cameron County had the smallest number of the Black or African American Alone population (32 residents) in 2019.
