Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, the Black or African American Alone population in Pennsylvania was 1,489,345 and represented 11.64% of the total Pennsylvania population (12,792,392).

Among Pennsylvania counties, Philadelphia County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (697,146), followed by Allegheny County (164,751), and Delaware County (119,635). Cameron County had the lowest (28).
