According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2018, the net domestic migration for North Dakota was -2,196. Williams County had the highest net domestic migration (1,496) followed by Cass County (900), and McKenzie County (683). On the other hand, Ward County had the lowest net domestic migration (-1,457), followed by Grand Forks County (-581), and Burleigh County (-473).
