According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for South Carolina was 17.24. Jasper County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (46.73), followed by Horry County (40.29), and Berkeley County (37.33). On the other hand, Marlboro County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-5.34), followed by Lee County (-3.17), and Williamsburg County (1.1).
