According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for South Carolina was 18.61. Jasper County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (49.34), followed by Edgefield County (48.41), and Horry County (41.26). On the other hand, Lee County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-6.93), followed by Marlboro County (-2.32), and Williamsburg County (1.36).
