According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2016, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for South Carolina was 11.41. Horry County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (39.1), followed by Lancaster County (38.44), and York County (25.12). On the other hand, Allendale County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-36.31), followed by Marlboro County (-19.52), and Williamsburg County (-16.83).
