According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2004:

  1. Florida: 2,200
  2. Michigan: 1,800
  3. Minnesota: 1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2004:

  1. California: -2,400
  2. New York: -1,600
  3. Alaska: -1,600
