Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 77,657 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone in Iowa and they represented 2.48% of the total population of Iowa in 2016. Polk County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone population (22,134), followed by Johnson County (9,510), and Story County (7,936). On the other hand, Taylor County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone (23), followed by Keokuk County (24), and Fremont County (24).
