United States Non-Hispanic Asian alone Population By State in 2016

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 17,849,879 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone in the United States and they represented 5.53% of the total US population in 2016.

California had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone population (5,622,254), followed by New York (1,678,617), and Texas (1,328,880). On the other hand, Wyoming had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone population (5,464) followed by Montana (8,685), and Vermont (10,927).

When it comes to the percentage of each state's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone, Hawaii had the highest percentage (36.28%), followed by California (14.36%), and New Jersey (9.46%).
