United States Non-Hispanic Asian alone Population By State in 2017

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 18,347,679 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone in the United States and they represented 5.64% of the total US population in 2017.

California had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone population (5,748,649), followed by New York (1,703,714), and Texas (1,387,899). On the other hand, Wyoming had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone population (5,742) followed by Montana (9,050), and Vermont (11,875).

When it comes to the percentage of each state's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone, Hawaii had the highest percentage (36.19%), followed by California (14.61%), and New Jersey (9.68%).
