Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, there were 278,467 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Oklahoma and they represented 7.29% of the total population of Oklahoma in 2012. Oklahoma County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (113,109), followed by Tulsa County (64,237), and Comanche County (20,961). On the other hand, Harper County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (5), followed by Cimarron County (7), and Dewey County (17).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Comanche County had the highest percentage (16.58%), followed by Oklahoma County (15.21%), and Osage County (11.34%).
