Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 289,100 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Oklahoma and they represented 7.36% of the total population of Oklahoma in 2016. Oklahoma County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (119,447), followed by Tulsa County (66,832), and Comanche County (19,993). On the other hand, Harper County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (8), followed by Cimarron County (11), and Dewey County (24).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Comanche County had the highest percentage (16.45%), followed by Oklahoma County (15.22%), and Osage County (11.23%).
