US Percentage of Old Adults that were Obese By State in 2016 (CDC)

Based on data from the CDC, in 2016, 31.6% of old adults in the US were Obese, with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more.

Among all states, West Virginia had the highest percentage of its old adult population who were obese (39.2%), followed by Louisiana (36.7%), Mississippi (36.6%), and Alabama (36%).

For the District of Columbia, 27.5% of old adults were obese.
