US Percentage of Old Adults that were Obese By State in 2022 (CDC)

Based on data from the CDC, in 2022, 34.7% of old adults in the US were Obese, with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more.

Among all states, West Virginia had the highest percentage of its old adult population who were obese (41.8%), followed by Louisiana (40.8%), Alabama (40.2%), and Tennessee (39.4%).

For the District of Columbia, 30.4% of old adults were obese.
