US Percentage of Old Adults that were Obese By State in 2019 (CDC)

Based on data from the CDC, in 2019, 33.2% of old adults in the US were Obese, with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more.

Among all states, Mississippi had the highest percentage of its old adult population who were obese (42.4%), followed by West Virginia (41.7%), Michigan (39.4%), and Oklahoma (38.1%).

For the District of Columbia, 31.7% of old adults were obese.
