US Percentage of Old Adults that were Obese By State in 2018 (CDC)

Based on data from the CDC, in 2018, 32.8% of old adults in the US were Obese, with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more.

Among all states, Mississippi had the highest percentage of its old adult population who were obese (39.7%), followed by West Virginia (39.7%), Louisiana (37.7%), and Kentucky (37.6%).

For the District of Columbia, 28.9% of old adults were obese.
