US Percentage of Old Adults that were Obese By State in 2021 (CDC)

Based on data from the CDC, in 2021, 34.5% of old adults in the US were Obese, with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more.

Among all states, West Virginia had the highest percentage of its old adult population who were obese (41.2%), followed by Kentucky (41.1%), Louisiana (40.8%), and Oklahoma (40.3%).

For the District of Columbia, 28.6% of old adults were obese.
