According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 2,251,699 people who identified as Non-Hispanic - American Indian and Alaska Native Alone in the United States, which was 0.68% of the total US population. This number is the population from the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Oklahoma had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (311,890), followed by Arizona (263,930), and New Mexico (188,610). On the other hand, the three states with low number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: District of Columbia (1,277), Vermont (1,986), and New Hampshire (2,299).
