Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, there were 3,021,393 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Georgia and they represented 30.51% of the total population of Georgia in 2012. Fulton County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (427,453), followed by DeKalb County (381,889), and Gwinnett County (202,705). On the other hand, Towns County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (57), followed by Fannin County (91), and Gilmer County (109).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Hancock County had the highest percentage (73.41%), followed by Dougherty County (67.54%), and Clayton County (66.34%).
