Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, there were 247,481 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Washington and they represented 3.59% of the total population of Washington in 2012. King County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (125,376), followed by Pierce County (54,193), and Snohomish County (19,376). On the other hand, Garfield County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (3), followed by Wahkiakum County (9), and Columbia County (19).
