Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 274,988 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Washington and they represented 3.77% of the total population of Washington in 2016. King County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (137,521), followed by Pierce County (59,145), and Snohomish County (24,142). On the other hand, Garfield County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (2), followed by Wahkiakum County (16), and Columbia County (29).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Pierce County had the highest percentage (6.85%), followed by King County (6.34%), and Snohomish County (3.06%).
