Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 284,404 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Washington and they represented 3.83% of the total population of Washington in 2017. King County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (141,569), followed by Pierce County (60,805), and Snohomish County (25,944). On the other hand, Garfield County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (2), followed by Wahkiakum County (15), and Columbia County (30).
